about

The intro, formerly known as Peace Pill Pt. 1, is performed on two different Alembic basses: a 1976 short-scale Series I with a boluca (a type of bamboo) top; and a 1975 long-scale Series I with a zebrano top. For the second part of the song, I used a Jaydee Supernatural GA 24 bass guitar. it was my main bass at this point, and I was told that Jaco Pastorius had played it at the 1984 California Guitar Show.

Personnel-wise, this is essentially the same lineup that played on the Blood album, (Straight Outta The Desert) which can also be found here on the bandcamp site.

lyrics

VERSE
This earth can be a hard place to live
When authority decides to confiscate what you once chose to give
And labels your anger: "madness"
No, they want to lock your ass away...

CHORUS
I know you wish the world and everybody in it ill
But this is the one time you can't give in to what you feel
I'm your doctor and I've got the 'script' for you
First, do no harm--- that's this M.D.'s golden rule
